Bio
Hector Vargas is an MSc student in Dr. David Bressler's research laboratory. He recieved his undergraduate degree in Mexico, in the Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) as a Biotechnology major, with a minor in Molecular Biology. After that, he won a government scholarship and was accepted in the University of Alberta for his Master's program. He is currently working with brown seaweed, and various methods of enzymatic hydrolysis to make value added products from this feedstock.
