Chaulagain, Narendra

Bio

Narendra Chaulagain received his Bachelors degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 2019 from Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology, Bangalore, India where he graduated from his engineering class with the prestigious Gold Medal for academic distinction. He received his M. Sc. degree in the year 2021 in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Alberta, Canada and is currently enrolled as a PhD candidate under Prof. Karthik Shankar in the same university. Mr. Chaulagain received the prestigious Alberta Innovates Graduate Student Scholarship (AIGSS) and Alberta Graduate Excellence Scholarship (AGES) for his academic and research excellence. He is also a recipient of the MITACS Globalink Research Award, FGSR student travel award, GSA Academic Travel Grant, and CSC Student travel award. He received the Best Paper award at The International Conference on Advanced Computational and Communication Paradigms (ICACCP-2019), held in Sikkim, India. He has co-authored 12 journal articles (first author of 3 articles). He is currently on a research visit to Germany where he is working as a guest researcher in Technical University of Munich, Germany for three months under the supervision of Prof. Peter Muller Buschbaum. Currently, he is working on carbon nitride-based nanomaterials and heterojunctions for CO2 photoreduction and photoelectrochemical water-splitting.
