Future Energy Systems receives Alberta Emerald Award
Posted on
Since the launch of Future Energy Systems in 2017, our researchers, graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and other highly qualified personnel have volunteered their time to share knowledge about cutting-edge energy systems and their environmental impacts with more than 300,000 people in classrooms, science centres, libraries, public festivals, and online. Last night, these tremendous efforts were recognized with an Alberta Emerald Award in the Education category.
The award was presented at the 34th Annual Emerald Awards ceremony, hosted on the University of Alberta campus at the Timm's Centre for the Arts. Assistant Director Kenneth Tam, who has led the program's communications portfolio since its inception, joined Outreach and Engagement Lead Valerie Miller, architect of the expansive FES outreach and education portfolio, in accepting the trophy.
