For Photovoltaic Systems (PV) the contracts being offered through the Ontario Power Authority are for 20 years. The rate varies depending on the size of system being connected to the grid.
Your PV System must meet a minimum requirement of 50% Ontario Content if connected to the grid and operational by December 31, 2010. Any system that is tied into the grid and becomes operational as of January 1, 2011 or later must meet a minimum requirement of 60% Ontario Content. Ontario Content means made in Ontario.

For Solar Photovoltaic Systems (PV) the contracts being offered through the Ontario Power Authority are for 20 years at a fixed price of 80.2 cents/kwh produced. Very Important Note: Your PV System must meet a minimum requirement of 40% Ontario Content if connected to the grid and operational by December 31, 2010. Any system that is tied into the grid and becomes operational as of January 1, 2011 or later must meet a minimum requirement of 60% Ontario Content. Ontario Content means made in Ontario.
